My name is Mike Strejc and I am Bald Guy Cooking. I have been in the culinary industry for 30 years as a caterer and a private chef. I love to cook. I am self taught but have had the privilege of working with an award winning chef for over 25 years. I believe in using what you have on hand to create enjoyable meals.
I like to experiment with different combination of foods to create my menus. I use recipes for ideas, but venture beyond them.
All cooks are asked what is our favorite type of food. For me it is Comfort Food, the stuff that your mom cooked. Lucky for me, my mom was great at comfort foods, but additionally was always using different foods and recipes. I know that is where my love of cooking came from.
Over the years, I realized that preparing and eating comfort food just makes me happy. Comfort food is a meal that you enjoy every time you have it. A good hamburger, A plate of pasta, It can be any thing, everyone has their favorites.
But why a web site for simple comfort food? Why not! I enjoy my comfort food and I want to share my ideas with you. But as we all know comfort is not the healthiest food you can eat. One of my goals is to share healthier ways to cook comfort food.
One thing I have discovered is that people want to serve great food at a dinner party. That is a given. The problem is that you may be afraid to cook for more than your family. You don't know what to do. I want help you overcome that hurdle by helping you plan, prepare, cook and serve food that will make a dinner parties a success. I will do the research, write the recipes, and guide you through the process from the beginning to the end. This may cost a little but a bald guy has to eat.
